This challah cover is part of the Ronit Gur designer
collection. The challah cover has the Hebrew words “Shabbat v’Yom Tov”,
“Shabbat and Yom Tov”, embroidered in the center of the all-white background.
The challah cover is decorated with a set of different light-shaded lines running
vertically on the right side and horizontally on the bottom. The lines overlap
on the bottom left corner, forming a beautiful corner design. The challah cover
is made from polyester material that is constructed to have the same look and
feel as that of high quality silk.
The challah cover is one of the few traditional and distinct
table setting items that characterizes a set Shabbat and Jewish holiday table.
The challah cover, as its name suggests, is used to cover the challahs while
the Kiddush is being recited. A special designed challah cover adds glory to
the Shabbat and holiday table.
